ANTAWN'S 2008 ALL-STAR BASKETBALL CAMP RECAP
Antawn's 2008 third annual All-Star Summer Basketball Camp, which was presented by Bojangles', was held on July 7-9 in Charlotte, NC at Antawn's alma mater - Providence High School. Camp lasted from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm each day and was for boys aged 8-18.

DAY 1: Campers participated in basic skill drills all morning and then broke up into groups and scrimmaged against each other. Campers who weren't scrimmaging attended fitness sessions provided by Kimberlie Endres of Fit 4 U Training, LLC. In the afternoon, representatives from the UNC Youth Basketball Center (led by Dr. Joshua Alexander) were present to measure all campers' current height and predict their future height. They also made some demonstrations on how to prevent ankle sprains and other basketball related injuries. Two-time NBA Slam Dunk Champion Jason Richardson, from the Charlotte Bobcats, showed up at the end of the day to give an inspirational life skills lesson for all campers.
Day 2: Campers participated in more drills and reassembled into groups for more scrimmages. In the afternoon, former Tar Heel and star guard of the Dallas Mavericks' Jerry Stackhouse dropped by to give another inspirational life skills lesson.
Day 3: Antawn's personal yoga instructor Ally Faber of Empower Yoga opened the day by giving all campers a basic introduction to the wonders of yoga. Campers stretched by doing yoga
exercises. Campers went through more drills and broke down into groups to play championship games. Marcus Ginyard and Deon Thompson of the UNC Tar Heels dropped by to play shooting games with campers and give a final life skills lesson. Camp ended with its annual awards ceremony!
